Indian Pair Syndrela Das and Sutirtha Mukherjee Advance to WTT Contender Almaty 2026 Women's Doubles Final

Syndrela Das and Sutirtha Mukherjee have advanced to the women's doubles final at the WTT Contender Almaty 2026 after defeating their compatriots Diya Chitale and Yashaswini Ghorpade in the semifinals with a 3-1 victory (11-6, 12-10, 8-11, 11-6) in 33 minutes. The West Bengal third seeds will face Japan's Miu Hirano and Miyuu Kihara in the summit clash. The only previous encounter between the two pairs ended in a 3-0 victory for the Japanese at the WTT Contender Zagreb qualifiers earlier this year. In the quarterfinals, Syndrela and Sutirtha defeated local wild cards Darya Fu and Mariya Lukyanova 3-1 (11-5, 11-3, 10-12, 11-7) in just 24 minutes.
